Cat Foster Opportunities in the Bay Area
Fostering a cat or kitten is one of the most meaningful ways to help our Bay Area cat rescue. As a foster, you give a cat a safe temporary home while we find their forever family. Foster commitments can be short-term or long-term, and we work with your schedule and lifestyle.
We need fosters for:
- Kittens around 5 weeks old
- Bottle baby kittens — experience required
- Adult cats waiting for forever homes
- Special needs cats needing extra care
- Shy cats who need a quiet home
What Pink Paws provide :
- Food, litter, bedding, toys, and basic supplies
- Veterinary care covered at no cost to you
- Training and guidance from our team
- Support from experienced volunteers

Other Ways to Help Bay Area Cats
Colony Feeder
Help monitor and care for community cat colonies across the Bay Area. Colony feeders provide food, water, and wellness checks for outdoor cats at designated locations. No experience is needed — just reliability and compassion for community cats
Trappers
Join our TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) team and help humanely trap feral cats for spay and neuter services. We provide training, equipment, and support so you can confidently help reduce overpopulation in the Bay Area.
Transport
Help transport cats and kittens to veterinary appointments, foster homes, and adoption events throughout the Bay Area. This flexible volunteer role is perfect for people who want to help rescue cats but cannot foster at home.
