All rescues and shelters charge a nominal fee for adoption and we do too. Rescuing kitties is an expensive affair. The adoption fee that you pay does not nearly cover the cost of spay/neuter, vaccines or any other medical care the cat/kitten may have required prior to adoption. The fee you pay helps us defray some of the costs so that we can continue doing this life saving work.
We are a very small rescue that started up in March of 2022. With a network of only 9 foster volunteers. When you adopt from our group, you help to free up our foster volunteer so that they can assist in helping a new kitty in need. Without dedicated available fosters, we can not say yes to the next cat or kitten that needs to be saved.
There is so much literature out there that kittens under 6 months of age, really do better when they are paired with another kitten of similar age. Kittens have a lot of energy and love to play around the clock. Having another kitten playmate ensures your kitten will never be lonely, will have the companionship s/he needs when you are too busy to attend to them.
Absolutely! When you adopt from Pink Paws For The Cause, you become part of our family — and we’ll be here to guide you every step of the way.
We’ll share helpful kitten-proofing tips, advice on how to care for your new cat, and guidance on introducing your new kitty to other pets in your home. Our team is always available to answer questions or offer support whenever you need it — before, during, and long after the adoption.
We also have a private Facebook group just for our adopters, where you can connect with other cat parents, share stories, and get advice from our community of experienced cat lovers.
You’ll never be alone on your journey — we’re here to make sure it’s a wonderful experience for both you and your new feline family member!
When we connect with you on FaceTime, we are looking at your home, not to check out your housekeeping abilities, but instead to look for potential kitten/cat hazards that might be in your home. Understanding your space helps us give you the right advice as to the best way to transition your new cat in your home.
