Paw-don me, I have more questions
Why should I pay for adoption?
All rescues and shelters charge a nominal fee for adoption and we do too. Rescuing kitties is an expensive affair. The adoption fee that you pay does not nearly cover the cost of spay/neuter, vaccines or any other medical care the cat/kitten may have required prior to adoption. The fee you pay helps us defray some of the costs so that we can continue doing this life saving work.
What makes your rescue different?
We are a very small rescue that started up in March of 2022. With a network of only 9 foster volunteers. When you adopt from our group, you help to free up our foster volunteer so that they can assist in helping a new kitty in need. Without dedicated available fosters, we can not say yes to the next cat or kitten that needs to be saved.
Why is 2 better than 1?
There is so much literature out there that kittens under 6 months of age, really do better when they are paired with another kitten of similar age. Kittens have a lot of energy and love to play around the clock. Having another kitten playmate ensures your kitten will never be lonely, will have the companionship s/he needs when you are too busy to attend to them.
I never had a cat or kitten before, will you teach us how to care for them?
YES! When you adopt from Pink Paws For The Cause, you become part of our family. We are here for you through thick and thin. We have come to love all of our cats and our adopters. Not only do we want this to be a successful adoption for the cat but it must be a wonderful experience for the adopting family as well. We will share with you house kitten proofing tips, offer suggestions on the best way to introduce your new kitty to your existing feline family member and will always be available if you need help in anyway.
Why do you do a FaceTime home visit as part of the application process?
When we connect with you on FaceTime, we are looking at your home, not to check out your housekeeping abilities, but instead to look for potential kitten/cat hazards that might be in your home. Understanding your space helps us give you the right advice as to the best way to transition your new cat in your home.
